Paragraph 1
As the introduction to this week’s activity notes, communication is an essential skill for leaders. One critically important aspect of communication is assessing the beliefs of the organizational members regarding impending change events and communicating relevant information that will help them become more amenable to change. Achilles Armenakis, Professor Emeritus at Auburn University, along with his collaborators, has developed a system of beliefs which he argues must be present among the members of an organization for organizational change to be effective. will take you to the article that details these beliefs and contains a short questionnaire which can be used to evaluate the presence of these beliefs. Select an organization with which you are familiar and use the criteria in the article as well as the questionnaire to determine how ready the organization is or was to embrace a particular change effort.

Using the material in this article as a guide, develop the outline of a communication plan designed to increase the presence of the beliefs proposed by Armenakis and which you identified in Learning Activity 1. Identify what you would communicate, to whom and how often you would engage in communication efforts at various time during the preparation for and the implementation of the change.
