These terms are appropriate today in describing the way some companies (and even industries) operate their procurement side of the business.

Your assignment is to write a six page paper (double spaced) on how these terms apply to procurement practices at WALMART. Wrap your discussion with at least one page evaluating the ethics and legality of these practices.

Besides the sites listed below, 5 additional sources are to be used. All sources must be properly listed on a bibliography page that is in addition to the six pages required. All citing must be done in a manner where the reader can gain access to the material referenced.

GRAMMAR:

Includes spelling and sentence structure. Grammar rules will be applied in grading. Choice of vocabulary considered.

LENGTH OF REPORT:

Minimum 6 pages spaced double spaced between lines. Size 12 font in program comparable to word.

APPLICATION OF TERMS:

Application of the terms in developing your paper is imperative.

ANALYSIS of ETHICAL AND LEGAL ISSUES:

Analysis should include a minimum one page evaluation of any ethical and legal issues regarding these practices. Grade will be based on depth of analysis, and how well analysis is thought-out and presented.

NOTE: If you feel these terms do not apply to WalMart, or that WalMart is doing nothing illegal and/or unethical, you must support your reasoning as solidly as if you find them in violation of what is considered ethical and legal.
