Leading teams that are made up of people from different cultures can increase the complexity of a manager’s job.
Your task is to write an essay on some of the problems that you may encounter when leading a multi-cultural team. You must also make suggestions (based on your readings) how you would overcome those problems.
Your answer should show understand of (1) multicultural issues and (2) leadership theories. You might want to divide the essay in to two parts.
If you want, you can focus on one culture in particular, if you have an interest in that culture.
Note: the purpose of an essay is go to beyond the lecture notes and explore a topic in depth. That means reading more on the topic. In an essay you show me what you have read and learned on the topic. The more you learned and understood (as revealed in the essay), the higher the mark you will get.
I expect you to read at least five 15-20 page articles or book chapters just to get a C. Trade magazine style webpages can help but should only be used in addition to solid reading.
I suggest that if the word limit is 3000 words, give me 3000 words. The more you can show me what you have learned the better mark you will get.
so basically this assignment asked me to present and demonstrate the problem that i may face when i manage my employees as a manager in the future . and how do i deal with those issues. the more relative information and reading attached, the higher marks for me.
