Case Think
Piece

General Guidelines

  1. In your assigned team, you
must prepare one case think piece
for one of the cases of the course. Cases are assigned on a first come,
    first served basis.
  2. Your think piece may be up
to 1,000 words plus exhibits. It
is strongly recommended that you develop charts, diagrams and tables to
support your arguments. EXHIBITS ARE GREAT. They ought to demonstrate that
you have organized the material and ideas in a way that contributes to
deepening our understanding of the issues. (Please note: simple copying
and pasting of charts, diagrams, or tables is not “developing”!)
  3. Write on what you believe to
be important and central about the case. In other words, you need not
present a thorough analysis of every aspect of a case; instead, focus on
what you believe to be critical and develop an analysis around it.
  4. You must write in essay format. You cannot rely solely on bullet points
    or use a presentation format.
  5. You must hand in a paper
copy of your think piece at the
    beginning
of the session in which the case is going to be discussed. Please also send me an electronic copy
    via e-mail

Grading

Your grade will be based on the following criteria:

  1. Presentation of the issue(s)
    you wish to address.
  2. Integration of concepts
learned in the course and, where appropriate, other parts of your program.
  3. Clarity of argumentation.
  4. Originality.
