You will build your case on the sources you list in your Annotated Bibliography, which is the SLP assignment. For that reason, it is important that you complete the SLP first. (Info noted below in SLP)

The first and most important step, for both the Cases and the SLP, is to select your target organization.

Using the same approach as before, you are to search for, critically analyze and report on the organization’s major Systems, and its organizational Style. In addition, you are to analyze the links among Systems, Style and Shared Values. These are shown by the solid red lines in the diagram above.

You may discover that Systems and Style are also strongly linked to Structure and Strategy, as shown by the solid black lines. If so, you may choose to discuss these links, to the point of making them a central feature of your analysis. This is the sort of flexibility you would have as a “real-world” organizational analyst. It’s up to you to decide what’s most important, and to emphasize that.

Specific Case Expectations:

The paper should provide a clear, comprehensive view of the organization’s System and Style, how these characteristics are affected by each other, and by the organization’s Shared Values. Optionally, you may also discuss the links between these characteristics, and the ones you analyzed in the previous cases. Provide specific examples, supported by your research.

  • Provide citations and references with annotated biography notes.

There is minimum for two pages not including the annotated biography.
